Fred Lintott was one of a kind, and one of the very best.
To our family he was a wonderful brother-in-law to Mom and Dad, and an awesome Uncle to us kids.
We remember the many family get togethers we had as we visited back and forth between Neudorf and Churchbridge or Regina. We remember Uncle Fred showing off the latest treasure he would have found out in a farmer's field, a ditch or an abandoned building. He had a passion for restoring old relics into beautiful gems. He would load us kids into the old car he restored with so much TLC and take us for a spin around town. Another treasure I remember Uncle Fred rescuing and restoring was a beautiful chandelier with many rings, and crystals hanging from each of those rings....I think it was made of copper or gold. He made it so shiny and so beautiful once again. He always had something that he found to tinker on.
Uncle Fred also had a great passion for his flowers and garden. The multitude of flowers took your breath away..I always loved the peonies around the house. I remember a pole in the back yard that had the most beautiful vine winding it's way up to the top. And further along to the back of the yard was this wonderful bird house with so many little houses for the birds...I remember him telling me about the special type of bird house that it was for this particular type of bird.
I also remember Uncle Fred being one of our furriest Uncles...that's a memory for another day. :)
We will always cherish the memories we have of Uncle Fred. You are all in our thoughts and prayers...it is a very sad time for all of us. At times like this we wish that we lived so much closer to each other than we have for so many years.
