Death Certificates

Before the business and legal issues of the estate can be pursued, it will be necessary to obtain copies of the "Funeral Director's Certification of Death".  It is always better to order a few more than what you think you will need. Most agencies will accept these certificates instead of the "official" government-issued death certificate.

In some cases, there may be a need to obtain a copy of the government death certificate, without cause of death, from Vital Statistics. These certificates are needed to transfer the title on a house or farm land, and in some cases for court procedures. You can order these certificates on-line or you may ask our staff for assistance.
