My memory of Darrell is one from High School - near graduation. Darrell was pretty quiet in High School one evening near graduation we had a grad party out at a farm. It was down an old country road there was some old buildings, bush and a big bonfire, it was a beautiful spot for a Bush Party, we had lots of laughs and yes some spirits. As the evening progressed some of the boys decided to climb up on the old Chicken Coop, Darrell was one and if my memory serves me correct a Mohart boy (can't remember his first name) and Dale Almasi were all sitting on the roof overlooking the party. It's funny I have never forgot that image of the boys on the roof, just having a view of the party down below, having a great time.
I remember Donna when we hard our second son in Melville Hospital. Donna was on a rotation and I got to visit her during my time there. We had lots in common we talked farming, kids, work and being busy with all of those aspects of our lives. As well when my Mom was sick Donna was her home care nurse, Mom was very comfortable with her when she came to the house to see her. She was a very caring/compassionate person.
