Len was born on June 29, 1933, on the family farm south of Lemberg, SK, where he grew up. He farmed at both Lemberg and Grenfell for most of his life. Len loved sports, playing ball for the Sintaluta team, the Wolseley Steelers and the Grenfell Blues. He enjoyed curling and served on the executive of the Grenfell Spitfires. One of his greatest joys was having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren visit.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Ruth Pekrul; son Owen Pekrul (Debra), Amber Adams (Matt Scott), Kaine and Kendall, Ian Pekrul (Katie Latoski); daughter Gail Kuhn (Pat), Jenelle Blancher (Shaun), Kinley; son Kevin Pekrul (Denise), Kelsey Pekrul (Jenna), Sophia and Lincoln, Piper Pekrul and Brady Pekrul. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews and friends.

A service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 816 Anderson Street, Grenfell, SK, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Gerald Anderson officiating.

The family would like to sincerely thank the wonderful staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Melville, for their compassionate care over the past six weeks.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Grenfell Athletic Association, Box 929, Grenfell, SK, S0G 2B0 or dropped off at Saleski Pharmacy, Grenfell, SK.
