Helen Sokoloski passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the Gateway Lodge in Canora, SK, at the age of 87 years.

Helen was born in Wadena, SK, to Olga (Yung) and Wiktor Fulek. She grew up on the farm and did all things that farm kids did in those days. Helen attended St. Eutrope School until Grade 8, then went on to Lintlaw School and completed her schooling at Sturgis Composite, where she stayed in the dormitory. Following school she worked as a telephone operator at Wadena, and she was a hairdresser for many years while they lived in Lintlaw. When they moved to Melville, Helen worked for homecare until she retired.

Helen loved doing crafts, sewing, quilting and crocheting, to name a few. She married Erwin Sokoloski in 1954, and they were blessed with two children, Christopher and Claudette (Garry Hanson).

Helen was predeceased by her parents, her husband and her brother, Ludwik. She leaves to mourn her passing: her children, Christopher Sokoloski and Claudette (Garry) Hanson; her grandchildren, Curtis Sokoloski, Chad Sokoloski, Serena Hanson and Elysia Hanson; and her great-grandchildren, Avery Hanson, Gabriella Hanson, Alexis Cooper, Mavi Sokoloski, Eli and Skye.
