Glen Baber was born in the Lemberg district on February 2, 1943, the son of George and Margaret (nee Keller) Baber. He attended Garden School but quit after Grade 8 to help on the family farm and neighbouring farms. Glen married Carol Bieber on August 4, 1967, and they were blessed with three children, Blaine, Laura and Chardelle. Prior to marriage, Glen started his own farm in 1966 in the Neudorf and Lemberg district and farmed until he retired and moved into Melville after harvest in 2007. After retiring, his main interest was still farming so he would help out the sons-in-law on the farm.

During his retirement, Glen took up janitorial services and enjoyed gardening. His pride and joy was taking care of the fruit trees. Glen enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as going for coffee with friends. Glen and Carol enjoyed travelling to numerous places.

Glen passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023, with his family by his side.

Glen was predeceased by his mom, Margaret (1994); his dad, George (2013); great-grandson Rhett (2016); sister Janet (2018); brother Darrel (2019); brother-in-law Elmer (2022). He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Carol Baber; son Blaine (Pam) Baber of Regina, their children Alesha and Brent; daughter Laura (Darren) Piller of Neudorf, their children, Brittany (Kyle), Jessica (Alex) and Tanner (Laramy); and daughter Chardelle (Kevin), children Hailey (Connor), Kelsey and Nevaeh; sisters Donnavene (Roland) Gorecki and Georgene Wihlidal; brother Ralph (Carol) Baber; brother-in-law Jack Busse and sister-in-law Dolores Baber. Glen also leaves to mourn, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
