With a very heavy heart and much sorrow, my loving husband of 59 years, John McGuire, went peacefully to be with his creator on Friday, September 23, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Melville, after a brief illness.
John was predeceased by his parents and parents-in-law; and his only sister-in-law, Cathy. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Arlene, and three children, Kimberly, Tracy and James. He was grandfather to five, Papa to Caitlin and Carlos, great-grandfather to five and Papa G to Emilia, Christian, Juliette, Beau and Aiyana. He also leaves his sister, Sharon; brother Daniel; his furry Golden, Toby; as well as his many friends.
Special thanks are extended to our loving daughter, Tracy, for always being a constant pillar of strength during this difficult time, STARS Air Ambulance, Melville EMS, ICU Regina General, Dr. Eshawesh, St. Peter’s Hospital staff, Kim Rutzki RN and all palliative care staff for their exceptional knowledge and compassion for John.
May John rest in peace in God's heavenly home until we are together for eternity. I shall love you John forever and ever, for your whit and wisdom, your many talents, strength and kind heart, and your favorite sport NASCAR.
