Arnold Wolf of Lemberg, SK, passed away May 13, 2022, in St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville, SK. He was 92 years of age.

Arnold met his wife, Rose Dedio, at Bible School in Saskatoon in 1947. They married in 1951 at her home in Thorsby, AB. They have one daughter, Sheri. They farmed at Palmer, SK, for about 15 years. In 1966, Arnold bought Lloyd’s Service in Lemberg and became an implement dealer of IHC and eventually GM cars and trucks.

Arnold and Rose enjoyed trips to Yugoslavia, Jamaica, Hawaii and Arizona, as well as trips to British Columbia and Nova Scotia. Closer to home, they enjoyed the mineral springs at Manitou many times with friends and family.

Arnold was known for his many interests over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his three grandsons, and they went fishing and RV camping as much as possible. Friends and family had many happy, even thrilling, fishing trips at many places in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Arnold loved growing plants and trees. Gardening was a big part of retirement life. His little greenhouse provided lots of tomatoes and cucumbers. There were apples and sour cherries in abundance. He even had a good crop of potatoes last year.

Arnold had a passion for flying, and he built an ultra-light airplane from scratch, which he flew and had some great adventures. He also hosted many fly-in breakfasts each summer in Lemberg, attracting pilots from near and far. He began building another airplane, but it was eventually completed by his nephew. In his later years, Arnold developed a passion for beekeeping. He watched them for hours and gave buckets of the honey to friends and family.

Arnold’s strong faith in the Lord Jesus kept him going in the times of trial and trouble over the years. His continual hope was to live until the Lord returned.

Arnold was predeceased by his grandson, Stephen; his parents, Emmanuel and Pauline; siblings Reinhart, Erma and Paul; a nephew and three brothers-in-law. He will be remembered by his wife of 70 years, Rose, and daughter Sheri, son-in-law Allen, grandsons Nolan and Jonathan, as well as many other family and friends.
