It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lois Harlene Richter. Lois was born January 8, 1941, to Joseph and Louise Heinz of Weyburn, SK. Lois, having never known her father, as he was a casualty of WW2, was raised alone by her mother. In turn, Lois raised her only child as a single parent due to an early divorce from Lenard Richter of Yellow Grass. She was a loving and supportive mother to her only child, Michael. Lois worked hard during her career with several postings with the Federal Government and attained her degree in Social Work at age 52. She chose the community of Melville for her retirement.
Lois passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at the age of 81 years; peace, perfect peace. Following Lois’s wishes, a formal service will not be held at this time.
Throughout her life, Lois held great affection for her cats; therefore, memorial donations to the SPCA or any animal protection agency would be appreciated.
