L. M. (Bob) McWhirter passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021, in Melville, SK, at the age of 93 years. He was born in Redvers but lived most of his life in Regina. In later years, he lived with daughter Pam and son-in-law Grant Edwards and at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville.
Bob is survived by sister Myrna Allberg, son Bryan McWhirter, daughter Pam (Grant) Edwards, granddaughter Whitney (Brad Wilson), great-grandson Zane Wilson, and many nieces and nephews. His beloved wife, Lorraine, passed away in 2016.
Bob was well known in the curling community through his many years of bonspiels, club managing and for giving curling instruction clinics around the province. He also worked at the Wascana Country Club and for Regina Parks and Recreation.
A memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Regina Humane Society would be appreciated.
