It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, Anne Haas. She passed away peacefully at the age of 89 years on Monday, November 2, 2020.

Anne was born on October 16, 1931, to Jacob and Rose Ludwar. She grew up on the farm in the Grayson area with her parents and siblings. She attended Flegel School and helped her parents on the farm. Anne married the love of her life, John, on November 14, 1950. They moved to the farm in the Killaly district, where she worked hard milking cows, raising numerous farm animals and gardening.

Anne loved to visit with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially loved to cook and bake the traditional kuchen, strudel and cabbage rolls. Anne was a serious gardener. After John passed away, she kept herself busy by selling her produce at the flea market at Sunset Beach. She also loved to paint rocks, which she also sold at the flea market. Anne’s love of sports included watching the Blue Jays play baseball and watching all the curling she could find on her television. She loved to play cards with her family and friends. She crocheted and knitted so many
items that she gave away.

In 2015, Anne left the farm to move to Caleb Village in Melville, where she felt like the queen...no more cooking and cleaning. She enjoyed a rich social life there, making many new friends with whom she loved to play cards and shuffleboard.

Anne is survived by her children: Charlie (Cindy), grandchildren Christopher (Katherine) Haas, great-grandchildren Chelsey, Caitlyn, Lauren and Abbey, grandchild Cory, grandchildren Chad (Pam), great-grandchild Rayden; Tom (Wendy), grandchildren, Brett (Haylea), Samantha (Jeff) and Aaron (Erika); June (Rod); and Rob (Val); brother Mike (Marlene) Ludwar; sister-in-law Marie Ludwar and brother-in-law Victor Haas. She was predeceased by her husband, John; parents Jacob and Rose Ludwar; brothers Tony (Alvena) Ludwar and Frank Ludwar; sisters Mary (Roman) Stradeski, Betty (Pete) Cyca and Theresa (Joe) Broda; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
