Roy Melvin (Mel) Anderson, beloved husband of Carol Anderson of Whitewood, passed away at the Whitewood Community Health Centre on Monday, June 8, 2020, at the age of 83 years.
Roy was born on January 30, 1937, at Broadview, SK, to John and Emma (nee Nordquist) Anderson. He was a proud farmer his entire life. Music was also a big part of Roy’s life. He played a variety of instruments in many dance bands over the years performing for weddings and graduations. Roy’s first wife, Leslie, passed away; they were blessed with a daughter, Beverley. On May 29, 1965, Roy was united in marriage to Carol Daley; they were blessed with four children, Shelley, Cheryl, John and Roy.
At Roy’s request, there will be no funeral service. Those so wishing may make memorial donations to the Whitewood Community Health Centre.
