Joyce Sash passed away May 28, 2020, at home in Regina, at the age of 80 years. She was formerly of Esterhazy and then Bird’s Point at Round Lake.

Joyce was born November 26, 1939, in Kamloops, BC. She was the third child born to Walter and Louise (Lockwood) Rosen. Joyce was raised on the homestead just north of Barrier, BC. She went to school in Barrier and then moved to Kamloops after Grade 12. She worked at the hospital there as a nurse's aid; this is where she met Larry Sash. They courted for four years, then they got married in Salmon Arm on October 15, 1961. They lived in a number of places as Larry was with the RCMP. They had three children, Larke, Kevin and Linda.

In 1970 they moved to Saskatchewan with the RCMP. They lived in Whitewood, Rosetown, Cabri, Kipling and Esterhazy. Joyce worked at the liquor store in Kipling and then in Esterhazy (retired in November of 2004 at age 65). When Joyce retired, she was already enjoying life living at Round Lake. Joyce spent many hours gardening and enjoyed being with her family. She loved playing cards and knitting blankets for her grandkids and their kids.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband Larry, her mother and father, and brother Norm. She leaves behind her loved ones: Larke (Bob) Kimpton, Kevin (Denise) Sash, Linda Sash; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Devon), Dallas (Shayla), Victor (Echo), and Brandy (Sawyer); and great-grandchildren Emmerson and Braxton. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Grace (Dave) Reeves and her brother, Phil Rosen.

A private graveside service will be held to celebrate her life.
