Although I did not know John well, I worked with him as a volunteer for Twin Valleys Presbytery, in various areas. John was always the calm, reasoned voice who gave the rest of us the knowledge needed and the ability to move forward in the life of various churches that were going through change (not always easy changes). He contributed much to the United Churches in Saskatchewan. I will continue to remember him and I pray for the family at this time of grief.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. I knew John as a member of Twin Valley's Presbytery and we worked together doing some Pastoral Oversight visits. I really enjoyed working with John. He was very compassionate and caring and understanding. I'm sure he will be much missed and fondly remembered. May you find strength and peace in grieving your loss. Linda Stumpf

I met John through Twin Valleys Presbytery of the United Church of Canada. I was the "beginner" and he was the "pro". John was a wealth of knowledge and experience that he gladly shared with all. He was a gentle man in manner. He was a devoted man to his church and to his God. I am blessed that I had the opportunity get to know him.

Frank and I send our deepest sympathy to you, Gloria, on John's passing. Over the last year we have missed him at coffee and at dances. In this day and age he was much too young to leave us. May knowing that others are thinking of you will help in your grief.
