After a lengthy battle with cancer, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Shelley Ann Webster. On Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the age of 66 years, Shelley entered her eternal rest and is at peace and no longer suffering.
Shelley was born, raised and completed all her schooling in Kelliher, SK. In August of 1974, she married the love of her life, Darrell Webster. They lived for a short time in Weyburn, SK, before settling and starting a family (twins) in Radville, SK. In 1984, the family moved to Oxbow, SK. For most of their time there, Shelley was a stay-at-home mom, actively involved in her children’s activities. In 1996, Shelley moved with her family to Melville, SK, where she continued to reside until present. She held several part-time jobs over the years but always cherished the colleagues and time she spent working at Home Hardware.
In 2008, Shelley was blessed and excited to welcome her first granddaughter. Four years later, in 2012, she welcomed her second granddaughter. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. She enjoyed spending most of her free time with them and never had the ability to say “no” to extra treats.
Shelley will forever be remembered as a loving and proud mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is predeceased by both parents, Richard and Marjorie Englund, and a sister, Heather Englund. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her husband of nearly 45 years, Darrell Webster; son Shane (Valdeen) Webster; daughter Sharla (Mark) Hansen; grandchildren Taiya, Izabella and Kyle Hansen; brother Allan (Ev) Englund; sisters Lynn Wicker, Lorraine (Wes) Klisowsky, Lori Englund and Brenda (Dennis) Pawluk; brother-in-law Bernie Klippenstein; sister-in-law Sherry Webster; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.
At Shelley’s request, there will be no service or funeral. A special thank you is extended to everyone who visited, cared for, and sent well wishes during her last few months in palliative care. If family or friends so wish to honour her memory by making a charitable donation, please do so to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.
