Obituary for Norman John Schultz

Norman John Schultz
Norman Schultz passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018, from cancer the day after his 84th birthday. His birthday was celebrated at St. Paul Lutheran Home in Melville surrounded by family, friends and well-wishers. Dad was born and raised in Grayson, SK, and learned to play the accordion at a very young age. He held various jobs over the years, but it was his music that sustained him. He enjoyed playing with the Happy Roamin’ Rangers and The Canadian Polka Kings, two groups which also included his younger brother, Joe Schultz.

I, Bernard (son of Norman) and my wife Carol want to formally thank Agnes Exner for bringing seven years of love, peace and happiness to Norman’s life. Agnes, you became his guiding light. Bushels of gratitude to the staff at St. Paul Home; we are so grateful for the support and care given to dad and Agnes during his stay. Thank you to Dr. Ghomeshi for keeping dad comfortable, and thank you to Mark and Doug from Matthews Funeral Home for making final arrangements a less painful experience. Thank you Uncle Joe, Olga, Uncle Wilfred and Aunt Muriel for letting us lean on you.

Donations in Dad’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (via the link on this web site).

Dad, may you find sweet music in your life hereafter. Love from your family, Bernie, Carol, Conrad (Delaney), Freya, Heather, Cayden, Sam, Amanda (Jackson), Hudson, Ava and Curtis. Play on dad, play on.
