Brian Eric Arkell, age 54 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2018, at his home in Melville, SK. He was born March 12, 1963, in Peachland, BC, to Kenneth and Lynn Arkell. In 1998 Brian met his spouse, Ann Marie Somerville, and they remained together until his departure.

Brian truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures – chatting with friends and family, snacking and playing on his computer. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Brian’s last job was working at the Melville landfill.

Brian is survived by his spouse Ann Marie; three older brothers, Rob Arkell (Lisa), Ken Arkell (Shara) and Alan Arkell (Lynette); two younger sisters, Betty Laing (Robin) and Teresa Stover (Dave); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
