Obituary for Fred Lintott

Alfred (Fred) McLachlan Lintott of Neudorf, Saskatchewan passed away on March 22, 2017 at the age of 88 years.

Fred was born May 31, 1928, the fifth son of Howard and Clara Lintott of Sidney, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers Ernest (Elsie), Clarence (Henriette), Gordon and Bert (Margaret); son-in-law Robert Innes; and daughter-in-law Doris.

Fred is survived by his wife, Isabel; children Richard (Laura), Debra (Reg), Sandra, Leslie (Mhairi) and James (Irene); a sister, Joyce (Al) Guernsey; a sister-in-law, Jackie Lintott; a brother-in-law, Dennis (Norma) Howie; Brenda Lintott; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and a great number of friends.

Fred married his highschool sweetheart Isabel Howie in 1949 and started their life together. During the first years, they moved around southern Manitoba while he worked for Manitoba Power Commission, and southern Saskatchewan while he worked for Saskatchewan Power Corporation. Fred and Isabel settled in Neudorf, Saskatchewan in 1956 and made this their home until Fred’s passing. Fred enjoyed a retirement of 34 years and spent much of his time travelling, visiting, dabbling in numerous hobbies, and he enjoyed spending time with his ever-growing family.
