Obituary for Juno Beatrice Owen (Foshager)

Juno Owen of Melville passed away March 4, 2006 a the age of 92 years.Juno was born at Atwater, SK to Iver and Mathilda Foshager. She received her schooling at Atwater and the Yorkton Collegiate and then took nurses training in Winnipeg. In 1939 Juno was united in marriage to Vincent Owen at Waldron, SK. They made their home in Melville where Vincent was employed with the CNR. Juno was a member of the Lady Trainmen and she enjoyed music, dancing, exercising, playing bridge and doing crossword puzzles. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Vincent; a son, Wayne; a brother Ivor Foshager and sisters, Margaret Gourlay, Jeanette Thompson and Marion Sanderson. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Pat Buckle of Comox, BC; son, Ken Owen of Melville; grandchildren, Sharon Owen, Noble (Stephanie) Buckle, Wesley Buckle, Dariel (Stewart) Graham, Dwayne (Angela) Owen and Marissa (Darcy) Boychuk; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Iva Peel of Calgary, AB and a number of nieces and nephews.
