Dale was born and raised in Melville, Saskatchewan. He attended the special education class at the Melville Comprehensive School from 1977-79. Dale moved to Yorkton in 1979 where he worked at the Saskatchewan Abilities Council until the time of his passing.

His interests revolved around everything musical...he wrote his own songs, sang, played guitar, keyboards and bongos. He loved dancing and socializing with his friends. Dale’s music touched so many in his life...at family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, music days at the workshop or sing-alongs at Camp Easter Seal. He warmed everyone who was near with his beautiful voice and his instruments.

While Dale may not be here, his song will always remain near.

Dale was a gentle man who passed away peacefully with his family at his side. He will never be forgotten by his Mom, Adeline; Brother, Rob (Verna) of Saskatoon; twin Brother, Dalton (Myrna) of Saskatoon; Brother, Jeff (Joan) of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his Sister, Janine (Shelby) of Calgary; as well as nieces, nephews, a great-nephew, relatives and friends. Dale was predeceased by his Dad, Alfred in 1968; his Grandparents and numerous uncles, aunts, relatives and friends who will be happy to greet him in a better place. We lost our beautiful Son and Brother on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the age of forty-seven years.
