Helen Pauline Jeannot passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the age of 87 years.

Helen was born on December 6, 1931, at St. Hubert, SK. She grew up in the St. Hubert district on the Dartige family farm and attended school at St. Hubert.

Helen married Laurance Jeannot on June 23, 1954, in St. Hubert’s church. They farmed in the Sunnymede district for 37 years. Together they bought a house in Whitewood, where she lived until recently.

Helen loved her family with a passion. Even at the end, she was concerned about making sure those around her had what they needed. Her entire life revolved around taking care of family and friends. She worked hard every day cooking, baking, gardening, milking cows, running things to the men, but always making sure her family was cared for and in need of nothing. After moving into Whitewood, Helen continued with a large garden, numerous flower beds, and nurturing her apple trees. She also worked at the Whitewood Inn for several years.

Helen loved visits from family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Laurance; her parents, Gabriel and Marie; brothers Andre, Joseph and Fernand; and son-in-law Jim Ellis. She is survived by her children, David (Anne), Dennis (Shirley), Ron (Shannon), Pat (Jody) and Yvonne (Jim), eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
