Obituary for Vern Edward Morris

Vern Edward Morris
Vern Morris was born in Saltcoats, SK, on May 14, 1935, to Thomas and Lillian (Eastwell) Morris. He went to Aston School until Grade 8. In 1960, Vern married Marion Jones; they were blessed with three children.

Vern was a farmer all his life, working the field and raising cattle. He was part of the Aston Snow Plow Committee and drove school bus. He also did custom work for neighbours. Vern loved to play cards with friends and family. Due to failing health, he moved to Morris Lodge in Bangor and then to the Pioneer Health Centre in Ituna, where he remained until his passing.

Vern leaves to mourn his passing his children, Stan and Shelly and their children, Sarah and Trent (kids Liam and Arebelle), and Thomas; Jason and Sharon and their children, Melissa and Dan (kids Brynn and Dylan), Christine and Josh (kids Elle and Annika), Derek, Shae and Gage and Caelan and Scott; Wanda and Doug Lang and their kids, Trevor and Robyn; siblings Elsie and Dave Hunt, Barry Morris, Carol and Murray Jeffries and Velma Racette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Morris Lodge for Vern’s care and also to the Pioneer Health Centre for the love and support they gave Vern and the family; it truly was home for him.
