Jean Eloise Muntain was born December 18, 1919, in Lemberg, SK, to Nick and Mary (Sikora) Grendus. She married Joe Muntain on October 1, 1938, and they lived in Melville until Joe’s passing in 1989. Jean then moved to Regina in 1990, where she lived until 2013 when she moved to Morris Lodge in Bangor. In 2015 Jean moved to the Centennial Care Home, where she resided until her peaceful passing on December 15, 2017, at the age of 97 years.

Jean was predeceased by her parents; brothers John and Kaczmar; sisters Joy (Lawrence) Owen and Alice (Harry) Saxon; stepsister Ann (Julius) Kulovitz; husband Joe and son Robert (Bernice Reiger). She is survived by her brother Ted (Eileen) of Surrey, BC; son Glenn (Monique) of Esterhazy; and grandchildren Sandra (Owen) Hamm of Winnipeg, MB, Doug (Britt) Muntain of Gimli, MB, Richard (Lory) Muntain of Pinawa, MB, Simone (Brad) Tocher of Esterhazy and Rob (Jenny) Muntain of Regina, SK.

Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
