Wayne was born in Ituna, SK, on July 12, 1953, the only son of Helen and Walter Woytas. He was raised on the family farm and attended school in Hubbard and Ituna, graduating in 1971. Wayne was an artistic person by nature. He was an awesome artist, but he never pursued this talent. Wayne enjoyed working with his hands, whether working on automobiles or woodworking. He spent 25 years employed as a mechanic and was known locally as the best in his trade. He was also a man of the land. Wayne enjoyed the peace and solitude of the farm. He was a very quiet-natured and private person.
Wayne passed away Monday, November 6, 2017, at the age of 64 years.
Wayne is survived by his children Kaylan and Sarah, sister Violet (Roman), niece Valerie (Alex), nephews Aaron and Rick (Aaron), great-niece Makayla and paternal aunt Helen (Neville), as well as numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter (August 1978) and Helen (March 2009), stepfather Anthony Wlaz (1994), grandparents John and Sophie Woytas and Nick and Helen Doroshenko and cousins David, Shane and Gary.
