Obituary for
Kenneth Robert Michael
Kenneth Robert Michael was born in Melville, SK, on October 4, 1948, to Harry and Clementine (Gosick) Michael. He passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at St. Peter’s Hospital, Melville at the age of 69 years.
Ken owned two businesses in his lifetime; he was a partner with Dave Tuba in a moving company called Melville Cartage and Storage and he also was a partner with his brother, Glen, in an autobody business called Michael Autobody in Lemberg.
When Ken was younger, he enjoyed playing baseball, and later coaching ladies’ fastball, as well as minor ball. He was an avid hunter with friends and family. In the winter, Ken spent many hours chasing his boys from rink to rink as a coach and fan. In the summer, you could find him at the lake playing horseshoes or fishing. As he became older, Ken looked forward to camping trips with his sons, still managing to get on the lake to catch some fish. Ken adored his grandchildren and would always light up when they were around. He will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Clem Michael. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his children, Ryan (Sara) and their son, Jase; Jared and his daughters, Ksenia and Emma; and Colin; brother Glen (Connie); sister Gladys (Randy); lifelong friend Dennis Rohlick, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
A graveside service was held at Melville City Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Mee officiating. Friends so wishing may make memorial donations to the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation, Melville. Arrangements were entrusted to Matthews Funeral Home, Melville.
