Obituary for Donnie Stelmacovich

Donnie Stelmacovich
Born in Melville, Saskatchewan, Donnie will always be remembered for being a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many. Donnie had a love for farming, the outdoors and sports. He could often be found at the hockey rink or ball diamonds, and especially enjoyed watching his daughter play softball. Donnie also had a special knack for cooking and could often be found experimenting with a new recipe or two.
Donnie had a special zest for life and was loved by many. He would never hesitate to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He cherished the good times time spent with family and friends, and his infectious laugh and smile will be deeply missed. Donnie will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sarah (Travis) Stelmacovich; siblings Pat (Rick) Merkel, Michael Stelmacovich, Cheryl (Ross) Buchan; nieces and nephews Renee (Pete) Miles and their children Graydon and Brooklyn, Brad Merkel and Jordan Buchan, as well as numerous other family and friends. Donnie was predeceased by his parents Rose and Russell Stelmacovich.
The family would also like to send a heartfelt thanks to all those who provided care and attention to Donnie and his family during his stay at the Regina General Hospital: the staff of SICU, CCU, and CSU as well as Dr. Moustapha, Dr. Baird and Dr. Dehghani. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Telemiracle or a charity of one’s choice.
