Obituary for Stephen William Soulsby

It is with love and peaceful hearts that the family announces the passing of Steve Soulsby on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the age of 95.

Steve was one of the lucky few who lived life on his terms for the grand majority of his life and always had a deep love for his family and many friends. He is survived by his daughter Lynne (Randy) Innes, son Norm (Marie) and daughter-in-law Wendy. He was a very proud Grandpa to Sherri, Don, Jessica, Amanda, Cam and Quinn and great-grandchildren, Cohen and Michaela. He was predeceased by Verna, his loving wife of 52 years, in 2002, and his devoted #1 son Dave in 2010 at the age of 44.

Steve was born and raised in Melville, SK and loved the city for all it had to offer to him and his family. The city of Melville and especially the Millionaires have lost one of their most ardent supporters. When combined with his love for the cabin life at Crooked Lake, we are not sure any other place on earth could have pleased him more.

To honour Dad, there will be a Celebration of Life held in Melville on Friday, July 28, 2017. For a man who lived such an interesting life, at such an interesting time, we cannot wait to hear even more stories to remember him by.

To Dad, all we can say is thank you for all you gave us and ‘Congratulations on a Life Well Lived’.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the staff at St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville for their wonderful care over the last four years.
