The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Cameron Yule can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Cameron Yule

Cameron Yule
Cameron is the son of James and Annie (Amy). He was born south of Grenfell and farmed near Baring for most of his life. He married his life partner, Ruth Schramm, 64 years ago.

In his younger years, Cameron was on the board of Viewland School. He would walk the half mile from the farm to the school early every morning to chop wood and light the stove so the school would be warm by the time the school kids started to arrive. Cameron also spent time on the local Co-op board and the United Church board and volunteered actively in the community with the museum and with anyone who needed help. He loved woodworking and spent hours in the shop building, fixing, carving, nailing and gluing all sorts of things.

In his retirement, Cameron enjoyed dances and travelling around North America in their van. Cameron was happiest when he was dancing and travelled hundreds of miles to do so every week. His dance friends were some of his closest and loyal friends.

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sweetheart Ruth, his sister Mavis (Lynne) Parsons, daughter Kathryn, sons Richard (Lori), Clinton (Donna) and Scott (Janice), seven grandchildren, James, Alisha, Jordan, Michael (Amy), Nathanial, Amy and Cassidy and his great-grandson, Jesse.
