Obituary for Glenn Dale Waldbauer

Glenn “Pete” Dale Waldbauer of Melville, SK passed away on Friday, December 9 at the age of 62 years.

Glenn was born November 7, 1954 to John and Gladys (nee Eipert) Waldbauer. He was raised on the family farm three kilometres from Killaly. He attended school at Prairie School before transferring to Neudorf, where he attended until his high school graduation. After graduation Glenn moved to Melville where he had several occupations, finishing his working career as a utility worker for Babcock and Wilcox.

Glenn loved devoting his spare time to playing and coaching sports. Growing up he could always be found at either the local hockey rink, on the fastball diamond or at Crooked Lake or Melville Dam enjoying his most favourite pastime of all, fishing. Glenn would eventually retire from actively playing sports and then devoted his time to coaching his two sons, Dillon and Jarett’s baseball and hockey teams.

Glenn was predeceased by his parents, John and Gladys (nee Eipert) Waldbauer; brothers Kelly and Wayne Waldbauer and great-nephew Nethanial Waldbauer. Glenn will be lovingly remembered by his sons Dillon (Chelsey Berrecloth) and Jarett (Shaelynn) Waldbauer; his siblings Glenda, Lloyd (Carol), Neil and Blaine Waldbauer; sisters-in-law Barbara (late Wayne) Waldbauer and Sherri (late Kelly) Waldbauer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
