Obituary for Sophia Marg Frick (Sedlovitch)

Sophia Marg Sedlovitch was born in Fenwood, SK on November 15, 1926, the seventh child of John and Efrosina (Sawchyn) Sedlovitch. She received her early education at Fenwood, then later at Sacred Heart Academy, Yorkton, completing her education with teacher training in Regina.

Sophia met Henry while teaching at Yola School, and they married in 1952. Together they made their home at the farm and later in Melville.

Sophie leaves to cherish her memory her children, Janlyn (George) Rozdilsky, Rietta (Ed) Davis and Arlan (Cherie) Frick. She is remembered as “Grandma” by Shayne and Chasen Rozdilsky, Kailyn (fiancé Daulton Krchov) and Logan Davis, and Luke, Travis and Ryan Frick. Sophie is remembered by her in-laws, Lavona Sedlovitch, Eleanore Sedlovitch, Edward Frick, Elsie (Carl) Hollinger, Edna (Alex) Figgitt, Bernice Frick, Vern Schick and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Henry; her parents; her siblings, Ann (John) Tymko, Nick (Nattie) Sedlovitch, Lena Sedlovitch, Mike Sedlovitch, Joe Sedlovitch, John Sedlovitch and Frances (Bobby) Dohms. Also predeceasing Sophie were her in-laws, John and Maria (Schmidt) Frick, Lizzie (Willie) Wigmore, Helen (Ted) Schick, Millie (Charlie) Schick, Rose (Leonard) Neuls, Willie Frick, Emma (Ben) Gabel and Evelyn Schick; and several nieces and nephews.

Sophie loved and dedicated her life to caring for her family, home, farm and others. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
