Garry was born to Enar and Elsie Fredrickson on September 14, 1945. He attended Waldron and Good Hope schools and completed high school in Melville. After high school Garry began working for the CNR in Melville, where he was employed until retirement. Garry was a gentle individual, kind, generous and always thought the best of others. He loved music and was an accomplished accordion and guitar player, though humble about his talents.
Garry was predeceased by his grandparents Olaf and Alma Fredrickson, Charles and Mary Tice; his father Enar Fredrickson; uncles Alvin Fredrickson, Bill Tice and Nick Pohaichuk and aunts Lydia Fredrickson, Astrid Yanko and Carol Tice; and cousin Jean Bashnik. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Elsie; aunts Ethel (widow of Nick Pohaichuk) and Marge (Len); cousins Marlene (Morley), Marie (Ray), Ron (Audrey), Jerry (widower of Jean Bashnik), Wayne (Alvina), Glen, David and Grant.
