Mary Elizabeth Johnson (Hatvanny)
Mary Johnson passed away at the Lakeside Nursing Home in Wolseley on April 23, 2012. Mary was born in Whitewood on August 2l, 1931, to Nickolas and Mary (nee Miliski) Hatvaney. She married Ralph Johnson on November 2, 1949. Three children were born to this union: Larry, Philip and Shelley.Ralph and Mary began married life farming, until Ralph became employed with the Sask Wheat Pool. Numerous transfers took them around southern Saskatchewan until Ralph retired and they settled in Manor. In the early 1990s Ralph and Mary moved to Whitewood. Ralph passed away in 2005. Mary remained in her home until 2008, at which time she moved to Broadview House. ln February 2011, Mary moved to Lakeside and resided there until her passing.While they lived in Manor, Mary and Ralph loved spending summers at their cabin at Kenosee Lake and playing the role of snowbirds in Arizona. You would often find them entertaining company and socializing. In later years Mary, with her beloved cup of coffee close at hand, enjoyed doing word searches to pass the time.Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ralph, an infant twin brother and son Larry. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by son Philip (Debbie) of Saskatoon, daughter Shelley Geysen of Rosalind, AB, brother Paul Hatvaney of Whitewood, grandchildren Donovan & Regan Johnson, Jennifer (Craig) Chatterson, Holley (Steve) Hermann and Kristi Johnson, Kayla (Shane) Kaminskiand Ora-Lynn, Derrian and Kelhn Geysen, and great-grandchildren Kenadie and Kaylee Chatterson and Paige and Justin Hermann.
