Obituary for Andrew Yuhas

Andrew Yuhas, beloved husband of Ellen Yuhas of Whitewood passed away March 11, 2008 at the age of 85 years.

Andrew was born in Tiszugyulahaza, Hungary on June 4, 1922. The family came to Canada in

1927 and settled in the Kipling-Kennedy area. They moved to Langbank in 1929 and then to the Whitewood area in 1944. Andrew married Ellen Jackson in 1954 and they farmed in the Whitewood area until 1975 when they retired and moved into town. Andrew loved all animals, especially the family pets. He enjoyed nature, the outdoors and gardening. In his spare time he loved to do woodwork and play his banjo.

Andrew was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Juliana (nee Molnar) Yuhas and by two daughters at birth. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Ellen; daughter, Susan Villeneuve (Greg Flaman) of Whitewood; granddaughter, Candis Villeneuve of Whitewood; his siblings, Mary (Albert) Raffey, Helen Drotar, Frank (Mary) Yuhas and William (Ruth) Yuhas all of Whitewood; as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
