Brenda Diane Issel was born June 6, 1964 in Roblin, Manitoba to parents Kenneth and Sharon Grundy who were proud to see their daughter grow up to be the fine woman, caring wife, and model mother she was. As a child, there was nothing Brenda loved more than spending time with her close friends and, most importantly, filling in her spare time out of school with figure skating and baseball. Brenda continued these activities while growing up, becoming attached to the love she had for her figure skating. Brenda was a student at the Roblin School, graduating in 1982. Brenda then studied at the business college in Winnipeg after graduating from high school, becoming a legal secretary in 1983. She continued to peruse this career in Winnipeg, and later on in Russell.In 1993 Brenda brought into the world her precious twins, Scott and Brooke (born May 29), raising them to be respectful and to love life just like she had. In 1995 Brenda moved to Yorkton where she then was a secretary at Farm Credit Canada (FCC), which she made into a life-long career, being loved and respected by her fellow colleagues. Another example of Brenda's giving was in 1999, where she gave the gift of life by donating a kidney to her father, of whom she will always be a part. In 2001, Brenda began the next chapter of her life in Neudorf with the love of her life, Lonnie, who protected and loved Brenda and her kids like no other. This was the beginning of Brenda's happiest times. Brenda and Lonnie were married April 1, 2005.Brenda always looked at life through positive eyes. She loved the little things in life, like going for a short walk on a nice summer's day, or spending a morning or afternoon having coffee dates with her girlfriends. No matter what a day would bring, Brenda always brought a smile to a room, especially when she was enjoying a good joke. Such little things that meant so much to Brenda are what made her life so enjoyable. The things like shopping trips or spending an afternoon baking, or looking forward to the smiles at the dinner table after making a meal for her family. There is an endless list to the things Brenda cherished in life; change was one of them. Change in terms of a paint shade on the wall, or a small table piece or trinket around the house. Even though change was little, she still enjoyed the risk of taking on new projects. After a day, long or short, Brenda loved nothing more than to curl up on her chair and watch TV with her family until it was time for bed. During the week, Brenda always looked forward to dressing up to go to work, where she would be with her friends, even when it got hard towards the end. Anyone who knew Brenda knows the word "complain" was not in her vocabulary. This also was shown through the endless cheering and supporting Brenda did at her twins' sports and activities, never missing a hockey or volleyball game, or gymnastics or football meeting or fundraiser. Brenda's dedication to the sports boards and volunteering was a symbol of how proud she was of her children. Throughout it all, Brenda loved people and had a loving touch to her personality to always make anyone feel special and respected when in her presence.Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband Lonnie; her children Scott and Brooke; her parents Kenneth and Sharon Grundy; a brother, Brent (Tess); brothers/sisters- in-law Kent (JoAnne) Issel and Lisa (Dale) Yeadon; a nephew, Kyle Issel; and nieces Lindsay Issel Ava Yeadon.
