Mabel Voss of St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the age of 97 years.Mabel Jessie was born March 1, 1913 in London, England to Henry and Jessie Rothon of London, UK. She was predeceased by her parents; her two brothers, Albert and Harry; her first husband, Edward Thomas Knott; and her second husband, Frank Voss. SShe is survived by her son, Edward (Margaret) Knott of Melville, SK, and children Ian Knott of Yorkton, SK (and children Chris and Holly Knott), Susan (Jasey) Nagy of Melville, SK (and children Ben, Josh and Nicki Nagy), Alison Adams of DC, USA (and daughters Annabelle and Imogen Adams); her son Brian (Joan) Knott of Acton, ON and children Tammy, Karen and Leslie; her son Leonard (Louise) Knott of South Wales, UK and children Jeffrey, Emma, Mark and Neil. Mabel was a loving mother, and grandmother and great-grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Mabel lived a long and colourful life, living through two great wars and countless changes in the world. She worked all of her life and was very dedicated to career. She was also a very healthy person and never had to take days off work for illness. Mabel and Frank immigrated to Canada almost 30 years ago to be with family and had a wonderful life, and will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature.“Nite-nite Mum, until we meet again.
